Textron Aviation has announced that it will be offering improved flight deck capabilities for 2019 Cessna and Beechcraft piston models. According to the company, the upgraded features include new standard and optional equipment as part of Garmin’s G1000 NXi next-generation flight deck and are designed to provide “enhanced control and connectivity in the cockpit.”

Along with a Garmin GMA 1360 audio panel, the GFC 700 Autopilot with Enhanced Automatic Flight Control System (E-AFCS) will now come standard on 2019 Cessna Skylane, Cessna Turbo Stationair HD, Beechcraft Bonanza G36 and Beechcraft Baron G58 pistons. The GFC 700 E-AFCS, which includes electronic stability and protection with auto-level, underspeed protection and coupled go-around features, will be offered as an option on new Skyhawks as well. New Baron G58s will come equipped with Garmin’s GWX 75 Doppler weather radar and Textron will be offering the GSR 56 Iridium satellite receiver as an optional feature for all Cessna and Beechcraft pistons.

“Today, new and experienced pilots alike continue to rely on our renowned Cessna and Beechcraft pistons to experience the joy of flight firsthand,” said Textron’s vice president of piston sales, Christopher Crow. “We’re thrilled to once again elevate the capabilities of these aircraft and connect the next generation of aviators with the latest technology and equipment needed to fly with added confidence, ease and control.”
